About Benjamin

Mr. Keller graduated from the University of Iowa in 2004 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Engineering. Upon graduation, he took a position with a cancer genetics research lab at The Ohio State University, where he served as the lab’s in-house software developer. During this time, Mr. Keller applied for and was accepted as a PhD candidate in Ohio State’s Molecular Biology program along with its law school. He enrolled in both programs with the intention of completing dual graduate degrees in Law and Molecular Biology.

After completing two years of law school and a semester of the PhD program, Mr. Keller was recruited by a large international law firm, Goodwin Proctor. Upon graduating law school in 2009, Mr. Keller joined Goodwin Proctor as an associate attorney in its New York City office. From 2009-2015, Mr. Keller practiced law at Goodwin Proctor and another highly regarded firm international firm, Fish & Richardson. At both firms, he worked on high states litigation for large corporations.

Mr. Keller’s current practice encompasses all facets of estate law, including sophisticated estate planning, trust and probate administration, and estate litigation. He advises clients on the strategic structuring of wills, trusts, and related instruments to achieve their personal, financial, and tax objectives. In addition, he represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in contested estate and trust matters, providing skilled advocacy in complex disputes to ensure the orderly and lawful administration of estates. A small sampling of representative matters from the past year includes:

  • Securing the recovery of assets from a personal representative who wrongfully withheld a seven-figure distribution;
  • Resolving a contested title dispute to clear ownership prior to the commencement of probate administration;
  • Representing the family of a public figure in a probate administration involving complex intellectual property claims;
  • Defending multiple trustees against allegations of self-dealing and related breaches of fiduciary duty;
  • Initiating and pursuing claims in courts throughout the State of Florida against trustees for breach of fiduciary duty, undue influence, and lack of testamentary capacity.

When not working, Mr. Keller loves to spend time with his family and cooking. He especially enjoys traveling with his family, and the four of them have visited and eaten their way through numerous countries together.
